Ellicottville, NY Cheryl E. Weissman, 77 passed away Sunday January 26, 2025 in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springfield, NY, following a brief illness.. she was born May 21, 1947 in Buffalo NY, the daughter of the late Fred and Ima Inez Blair.
Cheryl and her husband moved to East Otto in 1972 and operated Weiss Dairy Farm 1973-1989. She wa employed at Balloons Restaurant and Nightclub in Ellicottville for 25 years where she had been a kitchen manager and head cleaner. Cheryl was very proud of the recipes brought to Balloons over the years, some of which are still on the menu today. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Harry Weissman and a daughter Beth Weissman of Alta, Ut. Also surviving brother Ronnie Blair of Ridgeway , PA a sister Marilyn of Eustis, Fl and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Jessie Paul Weissman and a brother Gene Blair, Memorialwill be held at a later date . Burial will be in SunsetHill Cemetery in Ellicottville NY.
in lieu of flowers we ask that memorial donations be made to the Ellicottville Playground Cheryl loved children and it’s would make her smile to see all kids be able to enjoy the playground.
