Good friends right from the start of 7th grade KJHS and all through high school.  Took every art class together and compared "notes" in the Fall after spending the summers at family cottages, Karen at Java Lake, and me at Long Beach. "Group dated" with friends from Nichols (Java Lake crowd) followed by many girl-talk phone calls too.  So well-liked by so many because she was genuinely nice, kind and fun to be with.
