Phyllis Panaro (Lang)

Phyllis Marie Lang of Buffalo, an active churchwoman noted for helping others, died Nov. 17, 2006 in Buffalo General Hospital. She was 59.

Born in Buffalo, the former Phyllis Marie Panaro was a 1965 graduate of Kenmore West High School.

She worked in the Design & Implementation Division of Eastman Kodak in Rochester from 1970 to 1973, when she moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. In St. Petersburg she worked for ALL Advertising from 1973 to 1977.

Mrs. Lang retired in 1982 to establish volunteer church programs in St. Petersburg, including Volunteers for Jesus. She also designed encouragement cards in her church work.

She returned to Buffalo in 2001 and was a member of the Chapel at Crosspoint, Amherst.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ronald E.; a daughter, Kristin K.; a sister, Patricia Panaro; and a brother, Patrick Panaro.

Funeral services will be scheduled in the Chapel at Crosspoint.

Phyllis made my 7th grade algebra class fun-we would clown around and laugh so much that the teacher made me drop out of the class (Phyllis had the better grade) She was a dear friend who I miss very much.
